first thing I learned in college (Camille)

It was just me. Only me. I had to register. I had to find my seat. I had to get to class. I had to get up. I had to write that LONG paper.

When my parents dropped me off for that first Dean of Women rules meeting, I walked into the chilly auditorium and listened to the details of what was expected of me. And I burst into tears. What had I done? I could never do this. It was all my responsibility.

    Camille,

I can really relate to this post.
I, too, felt overwhelmed and I was also intimidated by the fact that I now had to write several papers every week, read hundreds of pages, AND try to remember all the other things I was responsible to do on my own.

Again, it was a great experience that could not have happened unless I left the safety of home and hearth for a period of time.

So happy you are on this blog with us, btw!

    Karen
